It is very hard to keep a relationship going after such an incident. It must be very hard to forgive. I suppose it's easier to forgive a one-off incident than an ongoing affair. That wouldn't be a one-off mistake but a planned relationship.

The main fear of break up is that whether your partner can sustain it or not, whether he or she would be able to bear the pain or not. But, if you could just make him/her understand that your relationship is just not working then it wil be good for both of you to be apart.

well i think you should sit and discuss every problem that you both are facing in your marital relationship. Make sure all the queries of your spouse are answered by you and you have to go back to being the person your spouse loved and got married to.

Good points on getting back to the basics and regaining some of the lost passion in the relationship. Generally speaking the cheater feels who he/she married has changed. If the cheater agrees to remain faithful, then it is safe to assume that his/her significant other should work at being spontaneous.
